A comfortable “holiday house Costa Prata”
In the region Costa de Prata, Estremadura Portugal, you find holiday house Casa da Tapada. It ´s a large detached holiday house (approx. 100 m2) that offers you all comfort and privacy for your holiday. It is situated at a small and child friendly holiday resort Casa Cantiga. It is suitable for up to 6 persons and if you include the attached studio (35 m2), even up to 8 persons.
Be welcome with 2 families with children, with lot of friends, as family holiday with the grand parents, the studio allows it! If you like luxury and space just for yourselves, enjoy Casa da Tapada as couple or small family, the studio is not rented out separately to others.
Casa da Tapada, a detached holiday house at the Costa da Prata Portugal, has 3 large bed rooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious and atmospheric living with open kitchen. The studio consists of a large bedroom and an own bathroom.
The large private terrace and garden
The garden is situated at the front side of the holiday house and assure your privacy. You can relax in the sun in your garden, at the nice veranda or at the shade terrace. Miscellaneous garden furniture, sunbeds and of course a BBQ. The mandarin and peach trees provide colour and an enormous yucca takes care of extra shade. The hammock completes it!
If you walk around the house you enter the shared garden and within some steps you are at the swimming pool. At or in the surrounding of the holiday resort you can do al kind of activities. Try out our mountain bikes or make a drive to experience the culture in the towns.
The interiour of the holiday house
Via your private garden, you enter the spacious hallway that offers access to the living room, bedrooms and bathrooms of Casa da Tapada, detached holiday house Costa Prata Portugal.
The living has comfortable sofas and a love seat, mostly used to read out to the children. The living has sliding doors to the towards the terrace and a wood burner for cosy evenings in the spring and autumn, when the evening temperatures are more cool.
The spacious kitchen is in traditional Portuguese style, is fully equipped with amongst others a dishwasher, large fridge, combi oven, microwave, espresso as well as normal coffee machine, toaster, etc. The house is also suitable for our gluten free guests!
The large bedrooms are at the ground floor and can be reached from the living via the hallway. A spacious bedroom with double bed (160×200), large wardrobe and bathroom en suite. This bathroom has a shower, wash basin and toilet. The other bedroom has 2 single beds (90×200) and large wardrobe. The 3rd bedroom has a bunk bed (90×200) and is spacious enough to add extra beds. Optional baby cot will fit in any bedroom. All bedrooms have blinds, so it can stay cool and dark if you wish.
Via the hallway you reach the other large bathroom with bath, toilet and wash basin.
The additional studio
Additional if you come with more then 6 persons, the studio of the holiday house Costa da Prata, can be used. It is attached to the house and can be reached via the kitchen or separately from outside. Here you have another huge bedroom with an in height adjustable double bed (180×200) to enjoy reading. A wardrobe, as small seating area and an own bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin. There is enough space for additional beds.
Wifi and car park
A fast wireless wifi network is available free of charge. Bring your own devices, apps and casting device or HDMI cable for streaming your mobile etc. on the available larger screen.
You have a private car park for 2 (rental) cars and a own entrance separately from the holiday resort.
The appropriate holiday period
Casa da Tapada, your holiday house Costa de Prata in Portuga, is suitable for a perfect holiday 365 days per year. Our climate in mid Portugal spoils you with moderate temperatures, a lot of sun and a beautiful nature. The spacious indoor and the wood burner take care for atmospheric evenings and comfort on the cooler evenings in the spring, autumn and winter. Often with Christmas we still have an outside BBQ for a perfect lunch!

Holiday resort Casa Cantiga
Casa da Tapada is part of Casa Cantiga, a child friendly holiday resort in small scale set up in the Portuguese region Estramadura. Perfect spot for a family holiday with kids in Portugal. The set up of the holiday houses and apartments provides privacy and this enables even a perfect holiday for couples or friends without kids.
The holiday resort is on the country side, close to the sea (Nazaré) at the coast line between Lisbon and Coimbra. You have here all facilities, privacy and conviviality of a small holiday resort of 10 holiday accommodations (houses, apartments, studio, camping pods).
The holiday resort has in common amongst others:
- a nice swimming pool with sun beds
- a shaded lounge terrace next to the swimming pool
- a terrace for shared meals, information folders and especially to play games
- a nice garden with outdoor play garden, petanque, trampoline and indoor play area with ping ping, etc.
The holiday resort is approx 10.000 m2 and is completely fenced. It has various car parks inside and outside the plot.
