Feel at home in the holiday accommodations of Casa Cantiga. The owners of Casa Cantiga, Sandra and Maurice, are Dutch and live since 2006 in Portugal with their kids. With their years of holiday rental experiences, they understand what is required for their guests to relax and enjoy their holidays. They speak the language, know the way around and are available if required. This provides a safe feeling!
Holiday Services
To simplify your travel and stay we are offering various services. Below some examples. After your reservation we will fine tune with your expectations.
“Arrival & departure” services
- At late arrival we can offer you a simple meal or breakfast package
- Late departure? At holiday park Casa Cantiga, after your check out, you still can stay to make use of the various facilities. For free!
“Do not need to take with you” services
- Baby / toddler package for the smaller kids consisting of cot, chair, baby tub, toilet bowl and toys
- buggy, children´s car seats (from 3 years), child back carrier and a Rambler walking wagon (limited number)
- Mountainbikes and normal bikes (holiday park Casa Cantiga / Solmar)
- Beach umbrella & wind screen
- Beach / pool towels
- Specific products for guest with coeliaki
Internet access
Free internet access via Wifi is available for the guests of Casa Cantiga holiday resort, Quinta do Carmo and beach apartment SolMar. At Casa Cantiga and Casa da Joana also at the swimming pool :).
Animals / take your pet
To the beach appartment SolMar as well as to the Quinta do Carmo accommodations, you can sometimes take your pet. We only allow this after specific agreement and is depending on the situation.
In case it is agreed and you take your pet, some extra cleaning costs will be charged.
Reading corner
Despite all e readers, is reading a normal book very nice at your holiday. All out locations have a bookcase with books for various ages and languages. You can exchange your own books!
Laundry cleaning
At Casa Cantiga holiday park as well as holiday villa Casa da Joana , you can do your laundry
Information folder
We have available at every holiday accommodation extensive information folders for your cultural or more sportive activities. We have various hiking and biking routes made for your. We have information which beach suits you best, or which restaurant or which water fun park. Are you already curious?
No mandatory refreshments
A drink at the pool, some peanuts at the terrace, the best part of a nice holiday.
At Casa Cantiga, different compared to many other holiday resorts, we have a self-catering concept. You have not mandatory, even not able to buy your refreshments at the bar. You do not have to be sneaky, you just bring your own drinks and peanuts. This save you a lot of money!
Climate
Talking about the weather, a favorite thing for many of us. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee your holiday weather. For sure, our Portuguese small scale and child friendly holiday cottages are situated in a lovely moderate climate. We have a lot of sun, nice temperatures and a breath-taking view to the stars. Enjoy it 365 days per year!

Hikers and bikers can be thrilled for a holiday at Casa Cantiga. The surroundings of our holiday houses, apartments and camping pods are magnificent. For a quite walk, a discovery or to give it all at the steep hills with your mountain bike. Or just a nice ride with the car to enjoy the nice villages and the beautiful views along the road. Lot of culture! Don´t forget to spent time relaxed at one of the many pastelarias and esplanadas where you find the best food and drinks against low prices.
Next to your “holiday do nothing” feeling, there are also many activities to do something different; You can play tennis, drive 4×4 off road, visit cool caves, sail, stand up paddle, play golf, etc. Our “to see, to do and to eat” pages show that everybody can enjoy a holiday in mid Portugal, at your child friendly holiday resort with holiday cottages in small scale set up.
