Holiday resort Quinta das Cantigas – heated swimming pools
Quinta das Cantigas is gradually becoming the new name for Casa Cantiga. 15 Years ago, we started with a “Casa” but grew to a small, sustainable and child friendly holiday park near Alcobaça and Nazaré. Here we have 10 holiday accommodations, each with their own privacy and nice common play and relax areas. The facilities are spread over 10.000 m2 in a beautiful nature. The holiday resort is situated close to the amazing coastline of the Costa da Prata in the area of Nazaré. From the holiday resort you have a beautiful view to the Serra dos Candeeiros, a small mountain range looking over the hills.

Holiday beach apartment Solmar
Next to Casa Cantiga resort we have for your holiday in Portugal, beach apartment SolMar, directly at the beach, just above Nazaré. This beach apartment belongs to a picturesque small coast town with the nice name Praia Paredes da Vitoria and is approximately on 25 km distance of Casa Cantiga resort. The beach apartment has a huge roof terrace with a typical Portuguese BBQ. In full privacy you will have an amazing sea view towards the coastline while you are taking your sunbath, chilling with a drink or grill your food. Afterwards the rush of the sea will get you to sleep.
Rural Escape @ Friends
At a small quinta of friends also nearby Alcobaça, we are renting out a beautiful Portugese villa, as well as 2 luxery wooden holiday houses . The Quinta is situated over 2 hills and the holiday accommodations are in small scale set up, comfortable and child friendly. You find the villa situated at one hill while the wooden houses are situated on the other hill. The plots are joints in the valley where you find a common park with playgarden, various animals and a football field. You will enjoy the villa at your private swimming pool and large BBQ area. The wooden houses and tent share another big swimming pool.
The quinta is owned by our Portugese friends Paula and Jorge and we are delighted to be able to rent out these beautifull accommodations.

Our surrounding is not yet discovered by the mass tourism, happily! It is still pure Portuguese with a nice mix of culture and nature. Various cultural and local sights were nominated and some of them elected to the 7 cultural miracles of Portugal; The Unesco protected village of Obidos, the pilgrimade of Fatima, the Convento do Cristo in Tomar and the most beautiful monasteries of Batalha and Alcobaça. The biggest waves of the world can be found at the coast of Nazare. The world championship surfing takes place in Peniche. Enjoy quiet lagoons, bays and endless beaches. Dolphin spotting or a visit to the islands of Berlenga is also unforgettable. In addition you can do all kinds of sportive activities like surf, kite surf, mountain bike and hiking.
Sustainable holiday!
In the last 10 years we already realized a lot of “sustainable development” via solar panels, renewable energy contracts, solar heated warm water systems, driving electric cars and of course separation of waste. In 2019 we started to encourage the offsetting of your “CO2 emissions or carbon footprint” from your journey. For this you can make a donation at the reservation to support local tree planting projects. This is especially necessary after the big forest fires. We will double each donation and make sure that it ends up locally. The next step is to develop even more and to evolve. Check our link for more information about our sustainable planl. That’s why in 2022 we have our business certified by the Biosphere Responsible Tourism Industry”.
